Saturn Sh*t Box Project Part II - Repaired the Clutch
Well sum biatch! The repair manual and everyone I talked to said that to replace the clutch on this car you had to remove the engine and transmission together and then remove the transmission.
After I had everything except for the last motor mounts and power steering hoses removed I realized that there indeed WAS just enough room to remove the transmission from the engine and slide it to the side to provide just enough room to swap out the clutch!
So after spending all day disconnecting everything form the engine, draining the coolant, etc I could have just disconnected the battery mount, axles and popped the tranny loose.
Well, at least now I got a feel of where all the electrical connectors are, hoses, etc on this engine. :p
After I got it together and running I installed my stereo system (which is a computer and some amps) from my truck in to the Saturn. It is loud as f*ck in this car!
The clutch no longer slips. I also vacuumed and recharged the A/C to get it to work. And it works great.

It wasn’t TAKEN from any particular car. However, I had THIS setup in my Dakota and I transfered it to the car and put the Dakota’s stock CD player back in the Dakota. The stock CD player for the Dakota has been in my closet since I bought the truck new in 2003 and put the computer setup in it! This setup is a Lilliput TouchScreen monitor. I removed the touchscreen part though as it was useless. Anyway. The computer system is one of those MicroITX setups running Windows Vista.

I use WinAmp for a media player. Then one amp for my mids and highs, and another amp for the two RockFord Fosgate P2 subs in the trunk. They were previously shoehorned behind the rear seats in my truck. But in the car it is so much louder. During test I had my laptop on top of the car. And it bounced when I turned the sound up! No fackin’ shit ass RAP music either. Pure American Metal (and some Swedish Metal here and there) :p
