DIY ideas for project I can make with a broken guitar?

I'm decorating my lounge with a rock n' roll vibe, and a friend gave me this old electric guitar that is broken (but looks perfect on the outside). The strings and some other little details are gone, but over all it seems perfect. I'm thinking of putting a clock in it or something. I want to make it into an interesting conversation piece that shows my love of music. Any ideas?

find an old clock take a way the strings put the clock inside get a guiar stand put it in a corner where everyone can see it
Also some glos might be good over the guitar depending on what kind of paint the room is

I myself would take the body of the guitar flip it over attach some small legs to it and then get some old pictures from the 50's from magazines and using school glue, glue them on the smooth side. Once the glue has completely dried, cover the entire surface with either decoupage or urethane. Then stand back and admire your D.I.Y
