Any DIY suggestions for repairing a cracked bathtub?
We have a large 'garden tub' in our bathroom and it's made out of a plastic…i don't believe that its fiberglass. Is there anyway to repair it without it looking SO obvious? Luckily the crack is higher up above what water level is usually used….I'm just tired of 'hiding' it under a folded hand towel draped over the side.
any ideas/suggestions?

If it is a hairline crack, try putting a couple coats of superglue on it, then scrape off the excess with a razor blade. Superglue is so thin, it gets pulled into the crack via capillary action.
If it is a wider crack, as in there is plastic missing, you could try bondo, and then paint over the bondo with appliance touch-up paint.
These are just two ideas to avoid the costly but sensible suggestions posted before.

If its plastic you can weld it you would need a welding tool that will cost around £300.It would be easier to repaiar with fibre glass from the back of the crack and far cheaper
