Fixing Failed Computer Fans

That drive might be determined to run hot, but it is not going to. :-)

Ever had a computer fan that started to sound like it was grinding flour or mowing the lawn? This is one way to fix it, because in all honesty, a replacement fan will probably fail in exactly the same way after the same amount of time.

And it’s cheaper–one bottle of motor oil will last for years and thousands of fans. I’ve never had to do one more than once to fix it permanently.

For the record, not a one of my PS/2s or related made-by-IBM items has ever lost a fan. Ever. So fans that don’t fail for years can be made.
