most DIY store websites don't list all of the tools that they actually sell in-store. i would suggest going to the stores in person and ask the sales clerk there. if the sales clerks aren't able to help you, you might have better luck going to a smaller mom&pop-type store.
and if all else fails, contact the builder and ask him for some direction as to where you can obtain these tools

Its all at the local hardware store. next time he tells you to pick up some thing ask him to put it on a list for you. If you dont understand anyhting on the list ask him what it is! Your green and he is messing with your head. If you ask questions he will be more inclined to keep you around, it shows you want to learn and not just be cheap labor for him.

LOL….
Ok, I have to admit, I havent heard of the "hammerfore" stunt before…. But I'd take in a mallet, or sledge, or deadblow hammer… mmm deadblow might work the best… and thell him that one side is the 'hammerfore" and the other is the "hammerafter".
A skirting board, is the board that is at the BOTTOM of the siding…. so you need a REALLLY short ladder, hehehehe. Use your imagination there.
Tartan paint, is a variation on an old trick, of sending someone after 'speckled' paint… (which you can really get now, its a textured paint) Tartan is a plaid… to give you the pic. I'd buy a can of the 'fleckstone' texture paint (which has little colored speckles in it).. and tell him the store told you he has to hold his mouth a certain way, and spray really fast in vertical and horizontal stripes. Hehehehe
Pick up a few small dowel rods too… for the " wood welder ", in case the board stretcher has to go out for repair. Heheheh
Have Fun

a skirt board, well, i think it means base board
and are you sure it's not TARTAN and not tatran, because tartan paint is a specially formulated brush-on paint, that brushes on specific pattern with the use of an old paint brush, how it works? it works by having several different viscosities for every color in the paint making them settle uniformly.

Go in on Monday and say he didn't tell you what sizes or colours or materials he wanted them in. Keep a straight face when you say it.
I worked in a marine hardware store once and they used to send the new guys to the shop down the street for a quart of prop wash. That shop would send the new guy back with a question about what colour was wanted.

Here's a hint - think about this… what's a "hammerfore"?
Now concentrate on those others, and hopefully you'll come up with a funny response for each of those too.
