Antenna Boosters / Signal Boosters on Razr and iPhone
I get crappy signal at home and work. So I got some antenna booster stickers, and tried them out on my Razr and iPhone.
I also try the trick that pushes the SIM card further against the contacts in the iPhone, which supposedly increases signal strength as well.
I’ll make a follow-up post at http://www.ifury.net/ to tell you how the signal is at work, where I need it most.
Phones:
Motorola Razr V3m CDMA on Verizon Wireless
Apple iPhone 8GB GSM on AT&T
Tools used:
Standard paperclip bent as shown
One post-it note, cut into two pieces small enough to fit in the iPhone SIM tray
Ten fingers
The boosters:
“Super” Internal Antenna Booster
Internal Antenna Booster

its impossible to …
its impossible to improve signal strength on an iPhone because u have to have the booster between the battery and phone (unless you buy a repeater). I used to get about 1 or 2 bars at home with my sidekick 3 but after i put a booster i get 3-full signal.
How do you explain …
How do you explain the lack of effect on the Razr though? I was able to place the booster between the battery and the phone there, and it fluctuated up by a bar before returning back to normal.
im not sure, i …
im not sure, i guess it works on some phones only. might be the different types of technology used on different phones. but i know it works on my phone, and clearly its not doing anything for the razr. dunno why
